Webcomic Collection Proposal
LIBS 648: Reading, Evaluating, and Selecting Graphic Novels
A brief proposal for the addition of a curated selection of graphic novels to a public library collection, specifically those that were originally published as webcomics or through other digital platforms. Just as many a household name got their start posting their work onto early aughts internet, the ascendance of comics to worldwide ubiquity was doubtlessly accelerated through the digitization of society—and likely something nearly everyone can vouch from the habits of someone they know, if not their own. This is one of the efforts I'd pursue pretty quickly if given enough say in a library's collection.
