Spanish Collection Plan

LIBS 658, Knowledge Resources: Planning, Selecting, & Managing Collections

A theoretical, (mostly) comprehensive plan for revamping the Spanish-language collection at my then-system of work. Per the description: "this project should use what you have learned so far about your community, library and current collection to develop a focused three-year collection management plan." As such, this plan incorporates aspects of just about every single assignment that came before it: gathering community data, analyzing the collection's suitability for a specific subset of the community, identifying a need in accordance to institutional goals, researching evidence on how and why filling these gaps in the collection is necessary, and developing measurable processes and goals for achieving it.

3. Interpret and apply basic and applied research to improve their professional practice.
